On Thursday, November 11th, our Brandeis students honored the brave men and women who served to protect our country. We welcomed two United States veterans, Mr. Albert Hinken and Mr. Martin Schwartz to our campus to share their stories and experiences. Following the presentation, students sang a medley of American classics to commemorate VeteransDay.
Once the program completed, students gathered by the flagpole for a special ceremony. Students, staff, parents, grandparents and alumni then marched for our 1st Annual Veterans DayParade, led by Mr. Hinken and Mr. Schwartz (a Brandeis great grandparent). Students carried handmade banners, flags and posters thanking our veterans for their service.
